Yuki by Paul Gillon
Page 3 of 3 Now Hector was used to pain, after all he had to endure the thoughts and
feelings and dreams of everyone in the tower block but this was something
totally new to him and he wasn’t prepared for it.
"No little girl! It’s too much power!"
"Kanpai!" Yuki said cheerily as she made towards him with a little run
through all the debris of the crushed walls.
Hector wasn’t done yet, if the little girl had parents in the block he could
mentally track them down and kill them in front of Yuki. He could still strike
out at this amazing (but annoying) little girl.
"Where is your mother?"
"Itsudemo," Yuki growled menacingly, her little infant face looking
scary.
Hector struggled to move, his old leathery limbs were in such pain but he
was damned if he was going to let this little bitch best him, not with all his
power. The old man tried to move but something went through his mind – a quick
flash of random feedback from the little Japanese girl, like a radio receiving
the wrong signal.
"Knives!" Hector looked around as though he were seeing ghosts, "Why do you
love knives? They’re sharp!"
Yuki was there, clutching as usual at her little knife.
"Goseichou ARIGATOU GOZAIMASHITA!!!"
Suddenly Hector Drood felt his brain go on fire. Yuki leapt up into the sky,
Hector could see the sky behind her smear into indistinct lines as the little
girl shot down towards him, her hair slapping the air as she made towards her
target…
Him.
"No! Too much power you little slut bag!"
Little Yuki smashed into the chest of the old man, her fists blurring into a
haze of flying punches directed at his solar plexus and thorax. Hector couldn’t
take it much longer; he had to do something before his frail body shut down
with the pain.
"Biiru ONEGAISHIMASU! Harumaki MO onegaishimasu!"
"Fuck off you little bitch!"
Hector screamed and unleashed all his anger and pain straight at the little
girl, watching her shoot yards across the block, slamming into walls with
little cries of pain. The knife obsessed infant looked dazed but ready to fight
again.
"Little noise maker. I’m Hector Drood! I own this tower block now!"
"Harumaki mou hitotsu KUDASAI!"
Hector raised an eyebrow, his eyes widened again because he could feel what
was coming next and he couldn’t do anything about it: he had used all his power
just getting Yuki away from him.
"So much power," the old man sighed sadly.
A massive Psionic pulse took the old man off his elderly feet and sent him
through every wall there was in The Arcade Street Block and fourteen floors
down to his death, ending a reign of mass murder.
As his body lay there, warped and inert, little Yuki nodded sadly and said
to herself: "Shitsumon ga areba GOJIYUU NI DOUZO."
Then the little girl went around the abandoned block sneaking into the
apartments and taking what knives she could find for her collection and then
she’d tiptoe back in to her home before her mum found out she was gone.
