I need to remember to forget you
And the way you loved me so
But it's so hard for me
To let you and our memories go

I need to remember to forget you
And the way your eyes shined
I always try to think but
You're always on my mind

I need to remember to forget you
And the way your smile lit up the dark
People tell me to let you go
But you've left your mark

I need to remember to forget you
And everything about you too
But I guess I keep forgetting
To remember to forget you
