Children of the Grove

Elder Earth has been reborn of powerful magic, and is on the brink of another Changing of the Age. Earthrage and the Living Shadow, udum saedor, are poisoning the land, while the magic of glimmer is diminishing. The Ancient Enemy, Ruhvaurog, is held bound in Mithymuriel, the land of spirit beyond the mortal realm, but his being is reforming and he is plotting to rebirth himself. Only two Great Stewards, Aor and Einaele, remain to oppose him, but they have been apart for nearly a thousand years and each has set into motion plans that may differ in purpose. In a twist of irony, each has helped the magical ashterim, Ruisme, to bear a mortal son. Along with a mysterious, female spirit-shaper, born of Einaele's power and Ruhvaurog's dark designs, Ruisme’s sons are the key to a nearing struggle that will determine the fate of all living things.
