Friend
         by Kimberly Hanlon

My best friend for 7 years, almost 8.
But this friendship has past its sell buy date.
At one time you could never spilt us up
But now there is just an empty cup
A cup once full of laughter and cheer
But now just boredom as it ends the year
Have I lost my very best friend?
I wonder if this is the end
I don't just want to be a back up plan when she is down
The only who can ease her frown.

I wonder why
She turns to me and cry
And yet I help her, even though I know she will push me aside
That person in which I use to confide
The person who I told everything to, only 7 years ago
But now I keep them to myself and she will never know.

Although this sounds like the end of a friendship
But it would be a waste to throw it all away
But maybe she will realise, who are her real friends, and come, to her senses one day.
