Soul Food
         by David C. Harvey

Parched dry like the shifting desert sands.
The suns heat baking your insides to well past done. Living on the edge of sanity, bordering the world mundane.

Constantly longing for that drink of knowledge that will quench your thirsty mind and make you whole again.

Searching for that tiny morsel to give your psychosis sustanence and bring your consciece back to solid ground.

Alone you wait for the soaking rain, peering through the illusory fingers of a mirage.

In the distance the thunder roars, the sky overhead sudenlly turns black as night.

You feel a cool breeze of reasurance, knowing soon you will feel the warm wet drops soak the dry & dusty
air around your britle soul.
