Empty & Underfoot (3 ratings) by Scott Henderson
A victim weeps
A villain rolls and falls asleep
Who will I be?
A child cries
We wipe the tears but don't ask why
They're scared of something that they never see
It falls apart
Dreams spill from my bleeding heart
They are never to be
It fades away
Missing from my memory
Lie prefect pictures only I could see
The still remains
Permanently smiling at me
Trying to remind me
The pain sets in
Empty and underfoot again
Please tread softly
