Heavenly Fool (4 ratings) by Scott Henderson
I thought the heat had gone
But my tears won't put out the flames
It's been burning bright so long
I can't help but feel ashamed
When I cry, I cry alone
And I know that face by name
I've been crawling much too slow
It's caught up with me again
Now they're missing me at home
They miss the light from my face
But I've been away so long
Everything's been replaced
Heaven takes care of fools
It steers them clear from hell
And if I fool them good
I might fool myself as well
