Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

27 March,

Our fearless leader, Captain Arbuckle has informed us that the computer is almost cactus. Meaning the beacon will cease to send the distress signal. At least we are still alive though the odds of Mr. Hammond seeing out the trip grow increasingly slim. He’s lost a lot of blood only a transfusion can save him. The only problem being that we don’t know his blood type, and even if we did the great surgeon of Dr. Gupta can barely stand nevertheless operate. Ms. Dangerfield does what she can with what’s available; unfortunately there isn’t much at all. She hasn’t left his side since the ordeal began.

The odds of Miss Osborne getting shot are increasing by the minute. She began screaming when Mr. Hammond started to convulse, she hasn’t stopped since. Apparently she is too young to die. Aren’t we all? I never thought myself capable of taking another life, but Miss Osborne is starting to really test me. Looking at the silent ones at the other end of the pod, they must be thinking the same thing.

I found out that the other five are the members of the same family, the Patterson’s. Mum, Dad, Grandpa and two kids. The kids are petrified, and I don’t blame them actually. The little girl Sarah or Sally or whatever it is constantly stares at Mr. Hammond.

Poor Mr. Hammond, there is something surreal about him, it is starting to get cold in here, well I think so anyway, but he keeps sweating. Obviously running a fever. Maybe our fearless leader should use his weapon and put him out of his misery.

28 March I think.

This business of not having a watch is starting to affect us. No one knows how long we’ve been here for, it feels like a month but it probably has only been 2 or 3 days.

I lost one bet. I’m out of pocket $100 dollars, as Mr. Holland became the first to visit the realm of insanity. The constant whining of Miss Osborne finally took its toll. Holland tried to strangle the bitch but the pods guardian angel in Ms. Dangerfield stopped him. Just to think that I was starting to like Dangerfield. Oh well better luck next time I suppose.

Our Fearless leader spends hours at a time huddled in front of the pods computer. He won’t tell anyone what he is doing but you do hear the occasional curse. Something is wrong, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. The silent 5 are also starting to note that it is getting cold. It is still tolerable but it is certainly cooler than it was when we started off.

1st April 29? March

We received a message that brought a smile to everyone’s face, even Miss Osborne managed to smile, and she has a pretty smile actually. The joy was short lived however when Arbuckle discovered that it was a distress call from another life pod. There are other survivors after all, though not for much longer as we were told that the other pod was losing oxygen fast. They are probably dead by now.

The reality of the situation is starting to hit home as Mr. Holland started to drink his own urine. A disgusting thought but something that we all would be resorting to soon. So it has come to this, we need to consume our own wastes in order to survive. The hunger pains aren’t too bad, but my god am I thirsty.
