Three days later the group sets out for Yalod with supplies, weapons, armor, and the desire to get on with the adventure. On they trekked for two days before it started raining so Dertax, Kedar, Jadef, and Bianica slept under the dryness of an old oak tree. The next day the rain showed no sign of letting up and through the day it just got worse. "Heck of a storm auy what do you think" yelled Bianica over the clatter of the rain outside of the party’s force field put up to keep out the rain. "Yes, it sure is pouring isn’t it" replied Jadef.

"Shh be quiet you two and look" Dertax yelled over their voices pointing off into the distance at some odd flickering light. "I’ll check it out you three stay here" says the light flyer as he steps out of the force field, spreads his wings and zooms off into the rain.

"Give me that ring Fredge or the magic might run out and that means the fire." "O.K. but this time I get to use it." "YOU’LL BLOW US UP!" The goblin cried just before a big explosion knocked him back across the camp along with the rest of the goblins around the fire. "What the Hell do you think you were doing, I warned you and you still BLEW US UP" the fuming goblin yelled as he picked up his mace and slammed it on Fredge’s head

"OwwWww that hurt you get hit now" Fredge jumped up and landed on the other goblin slugging him in the face yelling "You hit Fredge; I punch Jassim hard in face." The other goblins were cheering and jumping up and down yelling "get him" "the mace the mace." The goblins, who were content to fight, did not notice the Kinst sneak up and swipe their magic ring.

"I wonder what this does" the Kinst quietly asked to the air before identifying it as a ring with a fire enchantment to make fire immune to water while enhancing its heat as well. Dertax pulled out a magic scroll and chanted to it "Hario Befas" then said "ring of fire protection." Immediately the blank scroll started writing on itself the words JINE LIBE KEDAS. "Aahha, now I can duplicate this little ring I’ve got here" the Dertax whispered as he pulled out another ring "KEDIS KEDIS KEDIS," normally the ring would be a soft gold, but then turned a burning red "good" the exited light flyer whispered to himself "good, now, JINE LIBE KEDAS" the ring then turns a shocking white as it floats up into the air before returning to its normal gold and dropping back into the Kinst's out-stretched hand. "Thank you good goblins for letting me duplicate your priceless ring, he he" Dertax snickers as he quietly walks off throwing the first ring back to the goblins. And yet the goblins continue to fight not noticing their brief visitor, not knowing that he duplicated their ring, not noticing him fly off secretly into the cold rain and back to his own party of travelers.

"Mmm, I wonder where Dert' ran off to" asked the curious Jadef? "I don't know he said he'd saw something ahead but ran off before I could hear anything else, the rain is too loud" Bianica replied looking puzzled. "I thought he ran off in that direction, look, I see some odd flickering lights up ahead it looks like a fire" Kedar pointed out. "Well we'll see what it is when we get there auy" Jadef yelled over the rain.
