The Tail Of A Red Coat by Jack Ivan
On the 24th of March,
We sailed the ocean blue.
Not knowing the danger planned out upon us.
For we will sail from our homeland,
Our sweet home,
To the wilderness called America.
On the 13th of April,
We have arrived.
Now faith is upon us
For tomorrow we will face death.
On the 14th of April,
We beat the drums of war,
As our General cried out, "Don't be afraid my lads,
We are carrying the flag of our home, and our guns Shall make peace once again!"
Home...
I have lived in a sweet passion,
With a lovely family,
We have a house on the prarie
And Now that I have come
From our homeland, England,
To this bloody hell wilderness,
I will never see home again...
We had great faith when the rebels came,
We thought there will be peace once again.
We were wrong...
The Americans were like a tiger,
Slaughtering those brave men who faced them.
They would not give up.
After they slaughtered us,
They shout their rebel cry:
"Give Me Liberty! Or Give Me Death!"
