The Storms in the Shadows (Part 2) (2 ratings) by Nicholas Jade
Page 2 of 2 'It is not magic, I see it in your eyes, any can tell you
are worried, scared, afraid, lost confused and many other things,' said Thor.
'Stop saying what I'm not!' shouted Damascus. 'But you are,' said Thor. 'So
what if I am? We humans are different from you dragons, we have fear, pride and
love, you have a personality to slaughter,' said Damascus. Thor smirked. 'I
guess that explains why you stand here; your wounds healed talking to that
which you describe as such,' said Thor. Damascus sighed. 'I do not try to hurt
you by saying you're afraid of confused, I am merely telling the truth to help
you,' said Thor. 'To strengthen you for the journey ahead, to make not like any
of those things, but to give you a courage that none can clash down, not even
Hyperion himself,' he added. 'You are trying to hurt me I know it I -,'
Damascus stopped there and his eyes became white. He went unconscious and fell
off the ledge. Thor gasped and swooped down in the air. As Damascus was about
to hit the ground, Thor swooped under him and caught him. He flew back up the
ledge and tried to wake Damascus. 'Wake up!' shouted Thor. Damascus shortly
opened his eyes. He looked around. 'Do you know who I am?' asked Thor. 'Yes,
you are Thor,' said Damascus. 'Good! Why didn't you get amnesia?' asked Thor.
'I don't know, but whatever it is I said, I am sorry,' said Damascus. Thor
smiled and told him to get onto his wings. 'I guess I will take it as it
comes,' said Damascus. They smiled. It was dusk. The sun was setting in the
west, which is the way where they were going. With Damascus riding on Thor's
neck, they went west, to find the dark tower, Galadon?
Chapter 2: First Meetings
It became twilight and the chill of darkness sprang over Thor and Damascus.
They were traveling over the ocean and Damascus was beginning to grow sleepy.
He drifted into a deep sleep as Thor descended into a small opening in a
forest. 'Good night, Damascus, we shall rest here,' said Thor. Thor too,
drifted into a deep sleep. Two hours later, Thor awoke. He felt the ground
shake. He heard the stomping of men in armor, maybe not men, but Orcs. He then
found himself surrounded by an army of Orcs. Damascus woke up and grabbed his
sword and readied for battle. 'Why Orcs, do you bother us at this late hour?'
asked Thor. 'We bother not you, but him! If you don't desire being stabbed, I
suggest you go back to your dreams,' said a tall dark Orc. He was clothed in
black armor with stains and rust upon it. He carried a sword that looked
horrifying. It was long with a skull shape figure upon the hilt. It had black
jewels on it and the blade was black. 'If you so much as cut me, I can
guarantee you that every dragon in the world even Hyperion shall be upon the
Orcs in no time,' said Thor, his eyes turning red. 'All we want is him,' said
the Orc, pointing at Damascus. 'And who might you be?' asked Damascus. 'I am
Hephaistos,' said the Orc, his eyes turning red. He had a dark and terrifying
helmet on. 'You're putting the spell upon me!' shouted Damascus. 'Yes, and what
are you going to do to prevent it?' asked Hephaistos. 'Kill you,' said
Damascus. The Orcs broke out in an evil. 'Quiet, we don't want to wake the
beasts, but I would be very surprised if you held true to your word human,'
said Hephaistos. Damascus jumped off of Thor and raised his sword. Hephaistos
raised his hand and paralyzed Damascus with a spell. He laughed and raised his
sword. As soon as he was about to strike Damascus, Thor put his wing between
the two. 'If you cut me Orc you will regret it, if you kill me, hundreds will
take my place,' said Thor. 'Now leave or I shall melt you and your army,' said
Thor. 'Why don't you?' asked Hephaistos. 'It is not my place to, it is his,'
said Thor. 'Ha! If it is his place, you better turn back now, because he won't
even make it up the cliff to the dark tower if he wished to challenge me!'
shouted Hephaistos. 'I leave now,' he added. He ran back into the forest and
disappeared. The spell came off of Damascus. 'Why didn't you let me kill him? I
had everything under control,' said Damascus. 'His sword was one foot away from
your head, luckily my wing is not 1 foot wide yet or else the impact of my wing
hitting you would've been the last thing you felt,' said Thor. 'Get some sleep,
Damascus, I shall keep watch,' said Thor. He went back to sleep, and
dreamed?
