The Valentine's Day by Sameer S. Jadhav
Care, respect and flowers
Are the gems for genuine lovers
I had all of them from my side
But, it was you could not abide
I had the seeds of affection sown
Off that a pale plant of love had grown
It needs your care and affection
To live a life full of perfection
I vow I love you beyond limits
And its thought of you which never quits
My smiling face has something behind
A worry of you in this caring mind
I had fallen for you
without a promise that so will you
I've done what I could do
the rest is left with you
I've forgotten what are gains
Just following the Almighty's omens
Can't celebrate the Saint's day
My dark present needs your bright ray
I've brought myself a flower
So that the hopes don't drop much lower
Now in my distress
There's at least the flower to caress
At the end I've a consolation smile
to have celebrated the day in.....Apna Style*
*Apna Style- Meaning 'My Own Style' in Hindi.
