But how is that possible? he thought.

Suzi still smiled that seductive smile of hers, unaware that she was separated from her waist.

John dug all things supernatural, but this was just too bizarre. He thought it in his best interest to just drop it.

He dropped what was left of his date -- the bloody centerfold -- into the trash-can. No goodnight kiss. No nothing.

John took a cold shower. He couldn't shake the incident from his head. The question - how could a centerfold bleed? - lingered like the steam in the bathroom.

It wasn't until John was drying himself off and turned on the television that he got his answer. He was expecting to catch the end of the eleven o'clock film, but a special news report had interrupted it.

Mark Evans, news reporter, wore a solemn face. "Actress Suzi Parker, best known for her work in horror pictures, met a fate far worse than any of her grisly onscreen killings. While filming her latest movie, Camp Slaughter, her torso was inexplicably severed from the rest of her body. Apparently, this occurred while a camera was still rolling. The police are examining the footage. More on this tragedy as soon as we learn more..."
