"S'u...r...e?" I answered with some hesitation.

"Very good. I think you'll find it most interesting"

Conclusion

It had been snowing for hours. The highway was completely covered. Dressed in a flight suit that Captain Phillips provided, I stand in a field about twenty-five yards from a highway. I am waiting for a car.

Captain Phillips told me that the driver would lose control and slide into a ditch. Although slightly hurt, the driver would not be able to get out of the car because the doors and windows would be jammed. A blizzard would eventually cover the car with snow and be lost for weeks. The driver would die from hypothermia.

I am here to rescue the driver from a senseless death.

A few seconds later, the car appears. The driver loses control of the car and it finally comes to rest in the ditch. I wait until the snow, sent into the air by the car, to clear. As soon as I can see the car again, I run towards it. I arrive at the car and use my elbow to break the passenger's window. I look inside.

The driver looks at me with total fascination.

"Gail. Let's go home." I say as tears run down my cheeks.
