Population control? (3 ratings) by Saria Johnston
Page 2 of 2 A major boost in money that the government was sending to the study of
diseases grew, to massive amounts. Cancer, AIDS, HIV, the common cold,
everything was being studied. Then they found it, the genes that some people
have and others don’t. The one that allows you to stay healthy, or become ill.
The people that were tested and found to have the genes became known as the
‘have’s’ and the others without the genes, were the ‘have-not’s’.
At this point, I think I should inform you that the people no longer had a
voice, the Democratic America that everyone looked up to was gone, had been
since the boost in people. We no longer had a word in anything the government
did, we were powerless.
The search for the genes in babies happened, as soon as the fetus was
developed enough, they drew from it blood and looked for those desired genes.
If the child had them everything went along fine, but if they didn’t… let me
just put it this way… I used to have a brother and a sister they were never
born. People, ‘have’ and ‘have-nots’ alike, revolted against this and burned
hospitals, and abortion places (they did all the dirty work). Security put down
people in any manner they could. Soon, people, mostly ‘have-nots’ began to
leave the country, fleeing from the "evil" U.S.A. From here things kept getting
worse.
Now, I lay in bed next to my husband, whom was placed with me by the
government, and wonder, "Is my baby one of the perfect?" I hold my stomach and
cry myself to sleep; all I can do is hope.
