34Th Pier by Curtis M. Joseph
Reflections of the moon I see
dancing in your face.
The boats are pulling into the port as the seagulls nestle upon the rocks.
The night's air is warm and subtle.
Pleasant in it's accord even for you.
Remembering not long ago
a time that has aged in my memories.
The life that was once here.
My childhood is slumbering to stay asleep
in a night that makes me remember us.
