Amongst A Cry
         by Curtis M. Joseph

The evening cooled down
to a minimal breeze
catching the air as I pray.

Carved upon the onyx
curtain gazes a face
that horrors a dagger
in it's eyes.

Lissome strikes
hits my face pinning
unwavering enmity.

Outright I see
lonesomeness and
contempt, that shares
little emotion.

Willful blithe
I tame an ease
of sense to moral
a cry.

Outstretched in
somber yells
are mute cutting
a death.

Shriven betakes my
limpid mind under
vast starry opulence.

Exhaling a forethought
be troubles my
quivered heart.

Wounding furthered hurts
upon snowing misery
twining harlot laughs.
