The Mountain: The River of Hope

Hope always keeps people stronger than anything. But when you're spiritual, you are different and special. Gifts of the unknown... but what happen if the Nature or children of Mother Nature are gifted. The River of Hope seems to be a calm river that keeps high hopes about the people who travels on the river.

Everyday I look upon my time with Thomas. Now I am 17 years old. Think... Thomas is my love and my soul mate. Surprises come and go. But one surprise shall be able to stay a long time.

I watched Thomas one day while he was practicing his magic. (No joke!) Though it seems like a year ago since I saved The Gateway to Heaven and six months ago since I saved The Cliff of Time. Even it's been six months since I was dating Thomas. Oh, what a time with him.

"Love?" Thomas said as I come out of reality.

"Yes, Honey?" I asked him.

"Ever heard about The River of Hope?" He asks me.

"No..." I said.

"I did." Andrea said appearing behind them.

"Andrea!" I gasped.

"Sorry for scaring you." Andrea said.

I look at Andrea strangely and wonder why she was here anyways. "Tell me... why are you here?" I ask her.

"I am here because of your age." Andrea said.

Thomas and me looked at Andrea weird. "Eh?" We both said together.

"Well, since you two love each other very much. This mission will be meant for you two." Andrea said.

"Mission?" Thomas asked.

"Where?" I asked.

"Questions now? Geez... you shall see." Andrea said.

"Hell, tell us now!" Thomas said accidentally cussing again.

"Ok." Andrea said.

"Huh" Thomas and me said together confused.

Andrea laughs a little and I stared at her now.

"You see... there's really a legend about The River of Hope." Andrea said. "It' s located where Angel Mountain is."

"You mean that I must go back to that mountain?" I said.

"Yes." Andrea said.

"Well, then. I'm ready!" I said happily.

Thomas nods and hugs me tightly. "I shall go with you my love."

"Ok. Then we are ready." I said with a smile.

"Very well." Andrea said with a smile. "But first you're going to be late to be home."

"Ack! She's right!" I said and I hurrying got my things.

"I drive you home, love." Thomas said with a smile.

I smile. "Ok."

Thomas got his keys and I got in the car with him. He droved me onward to my home. I kissed him goodnight and got out and waved at him goodbye. I went in.

I sigh and went up to my room ignoring my mom and think about what is going to happen if I do go back to Angel Mountain. I remember my notes from what I wrote about the mountain so I looked for them and finally found them.

It had said:

The River... Mysterious that the river to appear every few years, but it had said that it will appear when a child must die or when some teen will be given her gifts for the first time, that is when the river appear. The river is called The River of Hope. The reason is because the way it appears close to Angel Mountain. Many people are confused but one thing is the legend of the river. It had said that the legend was once true. Evil tried to destroy the river once. He did not want people to go on live their lives with hope even though he did claimed that hope is bad for people to have. "Hate... fear... what else?" One geologist said once.
