Trip To The Market by Kuthkameen
One day I started for the supermarket,
Hands full with baskets,
Walking amidst the pollution,
Trying to avoid collision,
As I stood awhile to cross the road,
Came a boy on a bicycle road,
With water he made me slushed,
With anger I looked at him flushed,
When finally I reached the other bank,
Came a dog with a loose crank,
As he lunged at me to woof and lick,
I desperately tried to goof and kick,
Along came a beggar with his treasure,
The dog scampered after him with pleasure,
"Phew!", heaved I a sigh of relief,
And towards God I had a rejuvenated belief,
At last I reached my destination,
But I received a blow to all my expectations,
A small notice caught my eye,
Which said the shop was closed till July Five !
