 A Foster Child's World by J L Jr. Mirror, mirror on the wall The light is fading and I can't seem to find myself An evil hand has turned off the light My world is fading and I can't see my reflection I can't sleep at night because it's so dark That hand is always there I walk in the day by the light of darkness My world is fading and I can't see myself Mirror, mirror, on the wall Am I still here I see dark shadows of the hand Choking, killing, stealing my light But they say there will be a prince charming He'll rescue me from the darkness Mirror, mirror on the wall I think my prince got lost in the darkness They said it would be better soon Holding back the hand for a time But there is nothing to see My world is fading and now even you can't see me I don't like the path we're on That hand comes as if a guest but an unwelcome, probing intruder Next time I won't be here when he knocks My life is like a spider's web Circles, circles. Everything's coming back now There's the hand again around the corner, hiding The light is almost out now Where is my Prince Charming He won't want me now in all of my darkness, ugly He's got castles to run Darkness crowds his path Mirror, mirror on the wall my light has faded and I can't see you anymore The had is back and I don't have a reflection but this time I'll be asleep when he comes
