The room was full of darkness, out of the shadows came a man. His skin was as white as the winter snow that lay on the ground, and his eye shown crystal blue they were as blue as ice, his teeth were like razors. I could feel his eyes go through me. Never in my life had I seen such beauty. When he spoke his words were like music, they made my heart go warm. I was now no longer frightened. He moved toward me and took my hands, but as we touched I fell back, his hands were like ice but they burnt like fire. I fell for what seemed like eternity than I woke. Strangely I knew I wasn't alone. For weeks I had the same dream. It occurred over and over again each night. His face lingered on in my thoughts. His face would not leave me.

One day as I was walking home from school I heard it. The voice was calling my name. It stopped me cold in my tracks. I wanted to turn and see him, but something wouldn't let me. No matter how bad I wanted to turn I couldn't so I just stood there like a frightened child with my heart froze. By the time I convinced my body to move, he was gone. It was so strange. Why couldn't I face him? At the time it made no sense, but now if I only knew. That night I lay in bed hoping for sleep so I could see his face and hear his sweet voice. When sleep did finally come something awful happened, he wasn't there he left me all alone, just standing there in the cold, dark room. I just stood there waiting for him, that's when I saw her. She was so young. She was crying in the corner with blood running down her neck, her wavy golden hair stuck to her face with her eyes like pale sapphires red from crying. When she saw me she stopped crying and smiled her innocents were lost she had a distant look about her. I heard her say in a low whisper "You've come for me at last" What did she mean. I wanted to get closer, but as I moved I saw she was chained to the wall. Who would do such a mean cruel thing?

I bent down to help her, but as I touched her she vanished in a blaze of red fire. I started falling then again I woke. The day was long I thought it would never end. All day I heard her voice cry out for help, but there was nothing I could do until sleep claimed me. In my mind I had it all worked out. Tonight I would demand an answer; I had to find out why each night I was summoned to this dark lonely place. When night did finally fall I ran and jumped into bed the cold sheets surrounded me. Sleep came sooner than I expected. Then again there she was, but this time she was no longer sad and crying. She was happier, she seemed to be a different person, though she wasn't. Than she looked at me with this smile on her face, it was more like a smirk. "Your back so soon. I knew you couldn't stay away, your part of us!" she said in a harsh tone. That's when he came. Now I was frightened, he felt my fear. All the questions I wanted to ask I couldn't find the words to ask them, than as if he was reading my mind and answering my questions I finally understood.

This wasn't a punishment. The reason I came here each night is because he had choose me, not as a victim but as my savior. He would never harm me no matter how harsh of a creature he truly was. I needed this place he was part of me. He started toward me my eyes never left his not even to blink. In his eyes I knew him I even understood him; he wasn't human, but not beast. He's just there. Some say he feeds on the week by messing with their mind but not me. We needed each other. This time when I started falling I didn't wake instead I fell on and on. I hit the ground my eyes popped open I had rolled out of bed. How strange it had took me so long to understand what was going on.

That night in bed I wanted to sleep and go to my dream world, but it didn't happen. The young girl and man that had ounce frightened me, I understood. A few weeks went by I didn't sleep at all then late one night sleep finally took over. The room that had once been so cold was now warm the girl wasn't there. Their was something different about him I saw fear in his eyes this time. How could I have been such a fool I thought I had figured it out all out but it was different this time. I thought he controlled me but I was wrong he's nothing without me. He doesn't even exist without me. That night was the last night I saw him or the girl. If I had known that there was so much I would have said to them both. Now that I am older I long to hear his sweet voice and see his beautiful face even if it was just for a split second. That is impossible though because it was so long ago it's like my DREAM WORLD never existed it is just a secret that lies deep within me!
