The man looked at me. Slowly, I know that he doesn't trust me much but I'm used to it. A woman much taller than any man with bright red hair and very bright green eyes is not exactly normal and the fact that I'm carrying a sword encouraging people to stay away.

"What do you want?" I ask him.

"You look like a warrior and I beg you to help my village," he choked out, "a very powerful mage has arrived in the temple that is in the forest near our village and he wants to kill us all! Many people have all ready died."

I nodded gravely, "I'll go there tonight."

The steps of the ancient temple crack as I slowly walk up. Drawing out my sword I push the door open.

"Welcome Adara." A man said.

"How did you know my name and who are you?" I snap.

"I am your father," the mage says as he walks out from the shadow.

"My father? I laugh out loud, "I was orphaned before I was born. A priest had to cut my dead mother's belly to get me out. I have no father."

"Your mother had made sure that you were named Adara. The name I gave you. That name will let you be a powerful mage but you chose to be a fighter instead." He shouted angrily.

"My name?" I demanded. "Named only by the paper my dead mother was clutching. I grew up with goodness. I will never join you with your evil deeds."

"Die then!" he yells out as he raise a hand to cast spells.

I stab my sword at him and the sword went right into his heart. My dying father glared at me, he tried to open his mouth to speak, probably to curse me but he died. He would have been quick with his spells but I'm quicker with my sword. I bent down to pull out my sword. I look at his face and I touch my own face in shock. Only now I realize how much I look like him.

I stand before the church in the town where I grew up. The villagers thank me for saving them. Now in front of this church memories of my childhood all appear as if they happened only yesterday. I had first tried to enter the church when I was only five but a bolt of lighting struck me down.

I continued trying but it never worked so I left this town, I was very young when I went on my quest of redemption. Slaying evil. Now after twelve years of travelling I know that after killing my evil father my sins will be gone.

I push the door and I walk in, how good it is to be inside a holy place. I kneel before the altar. Growing up so alone and different I learned to hide my emotions inside. But now for the first time in my life tears are pouring down from my eyes as I begin to pray.
