The Siege (1 rating)
         by John Lee

The men were tired today
I watched them
I watched them as they lay limp on the cold, moist earth
Will their mothers forgive me
Could I take the sympathy with a clear conscience
I know I am a bad man
I know I don't deserve to live
But if I die so do they
That's the messed up bit
And that's the entire truth of it.
