Giving up on Dreams

I sit on a cloud floating away,
to a land of dreams, over the bay,
where theres ppl who live up to their dreams
and minds r bright and gleam,
theres no negative hearts,
but from the start,
the world is one clump of ppl giving up on dreams.

you say u have goals,
cuz thats wut i have been told,
u say u will live ur life till the end,
but yet u gave up again.
as a lil kid, u wanted to live up to everything powerful,
and ur dreams never went dull.
but now it seems,
ppl r giviing up on dreams.

but as u get older, ur mind takes a different road,
u change ur dreams as u start to get old,
u give up on skool,
and try to become cool,
u smoke to fit in and steal to prove u r strong,
but wut u r doing is way wrong,
so wutever happened to ur mind that gleamed,
well b/c u gave up on ur dreams.

so wut i am saying,
is ppl r dying,
from failing to fulfill their hopes,
from droppin skool and smokin dope,
they fall into the dark pit of no return,
their goals have gone and been burned.
So wut am i saying about these minds that gleam?
People are giving up on dreams.
