Before You Died by Tiffany Little
I knew you once before you died,
Before they lay you in the ground.
Before the maggots roamed and writhed,
Upon the feast that they had found.
I knew you once before you died,
Before your corpse lay cold,
Before the mourners moaned and cried,
As the earth took you to hold.
I knew you once before you died,
Before my life was dull,
Before I lost the will to try,
And my life became less full.
I knew you once before you died,
Before you left me lonely,
Before my sorrow, I had to hide,
Became my one and only.
I miss you so,
