Not Quite Right by Tiffany Little
Not quite right.
Dedicated to Abbi and Jennie, friends out of a time that has been so difficult to recapture.
Desperate threads we long to grasp,
Yet always out of reach.
That once we held so dear, so close.
But now the ends no longer meet.
Life long dead we revive in vain.
A tainted parody.
Twisted corpse of past delight.
No place in our reality.
Warped reflections, at which we stare,
Something's just not right.
Just copies of our former glory,
Defects too wrong, to try to right.
