The Alien Creatures: Rubber ball like beings that communicate with one another using telepathic means via retractable stick like antennae. About 15-16 inches in diameter. Most operaate in pairs wearing such pants as "dickies" or Chinos most commonly dark or light green or light brown, thus making up the Ghost crews that haunt manholes at night and the wee hours of the morning.

Ghost Band: Consists of a stand up bass played by a pair of handlike creatures, a piano at which a light green pair of 'dickies' worn by a pair of alien rubber balls, seated. A 'drummer ball does the drumming on the drums, with a pair of white beltless bell bottoms worn by another pair of alien rubber balls seated at the drums, with antennae extended.

Accompanying both the ghost crews and ghost bands the single ball, known as a chaser, and from another species, is the most dangerous. It has the strength to pop open a manhole cover from below and has caused numerous traffic accidents, many of them multiple vehicle accidents. The single ball is also highly excitable by jazz music, thus making any young men wearing the pants these aliens favorable open to attacks, which usually result in no injury but a young man with the living wits scared out of him, especially when he sees a duplicate of his pants being worn by a pair of the alien rubber balls. As the Hanson boys and their friends will soon find out, this wave is far more dangerous than the first one..

Settings: Rochester, NY and Maple Heights, OH

Plot: The Hansons are called upon to investigate and battle this second invasion wave of the rubber ball like aliens and that they find that this wave is far more dangerous than the first wave. The single balls are far more aggressive and stronger than the previous species. These are the chasers that protect the Ghost Crews and Ghost Bands.

PROLOGUE

It was 9pm, June 1, 2004 and the Hanson Boys were driving westbound on Main Street at the intersection with Genesee Street. As they were passing the intersection, Jeff spotted three ghost crews at open manholes with safety railings around each and a yellow hose with black stripes arcing down into each manhole from a pump like machine. Each ghost crew consisted of three dark green pairs of work pants, each worn by a pair of rubber ball like aliens. They were in the crouching position making like a line crew and the twin antennae (one for each ball), were fully extended. As Jeff logged the color of pants the rubber ball like aliens were wearing, he spotted a small boy trying to pick up one of the chaser balls and called out, "Don't pick it up, it is dangerous.
