Hot Times in the Heights - Hansen Boys Mystery

It was near 11:30 pm as Paul and Jeff Hansen were exiting the I-480 freeway at the Lee Road exit for Maple Heights. Jeff said," Paul, do you think we will run into more Ghost Crews and Bands out this way?' Paul said," From what Roger Heally of the Phone company told us I would not be surprised." About 5 minutes later, when the boys in their Chevy van reached Lee and Libby, they spotted two Midnite Express drone vans parked near by, and two open manholes with safety railings and ventilation machines, with hoses curving down into them . At one manhole, there were three pair of light brown pants crouching down by one manhole, each with a pair of stick like appendages sticking up and at the other manhole, three light green pairs of pants were likewise crouching with sticklike

Appendages. Jeff said," Must be more of those ghost crews. I wonder if the pairs of rubber balls wearing those pants are from the same alien invasion group as those we encountered in Buffalo and Rochester." Jeff replied," From what Roger told us, these are much more aggressive than what we encountered back in

Buffalo or Rochester. Did you notice the single ball sitting by each ventilator machine? Those must be the chasers." He noted that all pants the alien balls were wearing all had black belts on.

The boys turned right onto Libby Road to head for their cousin Brad's place located over the bridge just west of the Norfolk Southern (PRR) tracks. As they came up to Broadway, they saw three more ghost crews at " work" all wearing dark green pants with black belts. They appeared to be making no effort to hide the fact that these pants were being worn by pairs of rubber ball like aliens instead of human workers. Jeff said," Let's give these things a brief close look."

Paul, who was driving then pulled up behind the first Midnite Express drone van he came to. Both boys got out and snuck quietly over to the nearest open manhole where one of the ghost crews was at it. By the time the boys got to the manhole for their closeup, including taking some pictures, the 'chaser' ball started bouncing wildly and that one and another went after the Hansen Boys.
