Winter Will (4 ratings)

Horizontal currents slap against my skin
Running with the forcefield, running with the wind
Glistening Winter Will

Could it be only yesterday the ancient ways were denied
Where nothing forged held metal shape, nothing sacred survived

In the span of a day, I've lived a thousand years
-only to face your immortal sin
So I left my wife and family in the mountain, tucked deep within

(Running with the forcefield, running with the wind)

I was blessed with a cunning, cursed by knowledge
Of where, when and why
I feel energy from a blood red stone and I know when you're going to die
I converse with the Gods of mercy
I know with whom you'll fall in love
I can smell the cancer growing inside
I know the end before it's begun

So I run towards the glistening Winter Will
I have no choice, the current pulls me in
What are you? Where did you come from? Why did you choose me
I live in heaven and in hell, I am sick I am well
I am captured, yet I am free

The twisted gift I was born with has kept me running to its source for years
A spheroplastic globe of ice that feeds on human tears
To its Will I bend, every now and then - when the energy starts to die
Ice storms are your screams, disasters haunt my dreams
'Til I come to you and cry

So I run with the forcefield, fly like the wind
Glistening Winter Will
