"I know that, but what does it matter anymore, my whole world, my Alexandra is gone. What do I need with this money?" Mark replied solemnly.

"Mark, don’t talk like that. You can’t just give up, that would be a coward’s way out. Something you are not known for doing. Keep the money. Keep control and the whole world is at your feet." The woman said, trying to discourage Mark form this act.

"No. What good is the world at your feet without someone with you? No. This is the end. I’m out." With that, Mark signed the papers, gave them to the woman and left.

"Perhaps I’ll see ya round some time, as a person, not a boss." Mark said the woman as he left. She looked down at the papers and tore them in two and threw them in the sea. "Not on my watch!" she said. "I’m not giving up my power through you Mark. Your staying in."

Such as life for a man like Mark, they all end the same way. It may not be a messy death, but it was surly a jail created by the people around him.
