Add To Me Along The Road
         by Raven Mcgraw

Add to me
paint me over a portrait of a disciplined frame
put dust on the book where i write my worries
paint my face the rough color of sand

Quiet the rumors for my lack of interception
settle my dizziness
black bleeds white when its the color of gold
and my heart is not what it used to be

In my hand put a microphone
by my side my soul mate
In the air put the sweet smell of harmony
in the distance, rain that tastes like honey

In my place stands iron divinity
take me and dip me in a chromatic scale
feather out the harshness of my voice
and embelish whatever remains

If i fall dont catch me
because the steel taken from the earth
is what makes me alive
I can never die if you believe in life
and i am now born again hard

I am still needing speed
so add to me
worn out tires are crying in the streets
and i'll roll everything i can

I am burning like a supernova
so breathe fire along the road
and let me believe
i am in the big picture
