Raven Medicine
         by Raven Mcgraw

Raven Medicine

And with its feathers I have covered my wounds
And with its promise of the end of sorrow I have ended my days of sadness
The mountains that were my troubles are now in the distance and covered with hope
And the sun's transparent light is reluctant to remove the night
The bus coming toward me has wings of velvet and it can seat many minds.
for those who are ready for flight
Another parody fit for a Saturday night soul ride
And I find myself laughing while I climb aboard

A dream that has taken up all my time
Will be the movie on this flight
I will submit to wanting the admiration of my peers
I tell you now before we get seated
Don't worry about the seatbelt
There are no accidents where we're going
It s a highway that will shorten the distance between you and yourself
And you can get off at the nearest intersection

The ride will scare the hell out of you
But what doesn't kill you will make you stronger
