It Is Not Enough by John Michael Farinas
It is not enough that you look good, handsome or beautiful
For good looks will fade away
Just as your hair will turn gray...
It is not enough that you dress well or wear the finest jewelry
It's shine and splendor
Can never cover-up who you really are inside
It is not enough that you drive the fanciest car
For speed and luxury
Can never measure up to those who is behind the wheels
What is important is that;
You have the brains
To go with those killer looks
A kind heart;
To outshine...
Those nice clothes and fine pieces of jewelry
The purest of intentions;
To outdo...
The speed of the fancy car you drive
Only then can you say, that you are a man
Worthy of praise and admiration
Form your peers or even the whole nation
Just be yourself;
Make well of today as if it is your last
Strive for goodness and perfection
"Fear the Lord..."
And all these I say, is more than enough
To make you a man...worthy of honor.
