Wha'th! (2 ratings) by Som Nandivada
At first glance it seemed cumulous, but maybe not.
Shaped like a lion habituated to guarding
the gateway of some ancient order
Advancing towards the catnapping moon (a decidedly non-discrete full bodied halo, though
the phase had blacked out all but the crescent), the
black lion seemed to cunctate a while, and then floated on regardless,
endeavoring to swallow and then ask.
Apprehension dawned but too late, in the wake of the delayed reflexes of
the gigantic cat's somnambulistic muscles
Selena grinned on,
leaving the lion disconcerted, and disembowelled
