Millennial Renegade by P.D. Nelson
Page 1 of 6 Prologue Date: July 2 1947
Location: Roswell, New Mexico, The United States of America.
An Unidentified Flying Object crash-lands in a remote desert ranch. A local
farmer finds the wreckage and the authorities are alerted. Almost immediately
the area is made a restricted access site by the RAAF; a major operation is put
into action to retrieve the wreckage and keep the public in the dark until the
truth of its origin be uncovered. The wreckage is taken to a nearby air force
base and under the authority of General Ramey it is immediately shipped to a
remote area of Alaska under his supervision. Only a handful of officials know
of its existence at this point, the story released to the press is fabricated
and even the president is led to believe that the alleged UFO was nothing more
than a weather balloon. General Ramey and a few of his most trusted comrades
decide to take it upon themselves to use this freak occurrence to the benefit
of their country and that of the world. Knowing full well that if any other
agencies or government body got their hands on the wreckage it would be put to
the wrong uses. A research centre is set up to work on the alien craft under
the cover story that it is a bird migratory research facility. General Ramey
brings together a team of America's top scientists and under a shroud of sworn
secrecy they begin to study and unravel the technology of the retrieved
unearthly vessel. The new highly secretive organisation is named the Specialist
Intelligence Agency or the SIA. With the aid of minor government funding and a
major amount of private funding, the facility gets to work on the unearthly
object and the secrets it beholds.
Date: April 1962
Location: SIA Research Facility, Alaska, The United States of America.
The team of scientists make a breakthrough and decipher the language of the
alien craft with the aid of newly enhanced computers. They do not unravel
anything about the crafts owners or of its origins, however they do uncover
many new technologies and the secret to the ships complex machinery and
materials. The scientists begin to manipulate the new technology and materials
for their own uses.
Date: January 1985
The SIA release some of the highly advanced technology to the general public
in the form of home computer systems to gain much needed funding. The great
personal computer revolution of the Twentieth Century is completely due to the
unknown and highly secretive SIA. The rapid advancement of microchip technology
is secretly sold at decided intervals to four major companies, gaining the SIA
billions and billions in much needed revenue. Personal computers become
obsolete after a matter of months due to the SIA releasing newer and newer
technologies.
Date: January 1993
Location:
With the aid of super advanced quantum computers and the use of DNA
manipulation technology, or genetic engineering, retrieved from the UFO's data
banks the SIA's elite scientists set about creating a team of super-agents. The
new 'agents' of the SIA are designed each with a genetic superiority in a
certain area; all are of incredible intelligence and ingenuity. The team are
implanted with microcomputers to work in parallel with their own brains that
are designed to help the agents interact with the alien technology they are
given. The microcomputers are fitted with a disobedience inhibitor chip,
which prevents the agents from discussing the technology they have access to
and from talking to anyone other than SIA operatives about their missions. The
chip also keeps a firm hold on the agents and their actions, in case the SIA
should decide to prevent them from carrying out a mission or action they do not
condone. The agents are reared in the SIA's decided way, they are told the full
truth of their purpose and that they are genetically engineered. They are not
however, informed of the inhibitor chips that hold an invisible grip upon them
and their actions. The inhibitor chips keep control over the agents by forcing
metal blockage in their organic brains and inducing severe physical pain. Eight
agents are eventually reared.
