She made me curious and wondering. We talked some more, we were soon laughing, having fun. Intimate.

"I'd like to pass by our place first if you don't mind. Just check on the group. You can also see what we're working on." Gen said.

I didn’t mind. We left the place.

As we moved around the old city. I notice we were passing by my old neighborhood. I asked Gen if we could drop by for a while and look at the old house where I grew up.

Gen wanted to see the house too.

We reached the place. It looked almost the same except that it was a shop now. Gen and I entered the place we looked around. The proprietor met us.

We talked. I told him I grew up in this place.

The proprietor was happy to know that. He even proposed to show us to the living area where he lives with his wife and kids.

The rooms still look the same. Not much has changed. The past began to stir. Gen had a sentimental look.

"Your home and its memories are still here." Gen said, holding my hand."So haunting."

We went around some more and left the place. Gen drove to a walled compound. As she drove in, I could see a number of houses around. We were going to one of the houses.

Gen and I entered the house and we were soon greeted by her companions. We went upstairs where they were busy.

They had a project coming up, they were building and painting miniatures.

I found it interesting. Gen left me to talked to the others.

Gen was finished with her meetings. She asked if I found their work interesting. I like it and I wanted to join.

Gen smiled, "I was hoping you would say that."

We went outside to the garden. The landscape was very serene, very tranquil.

Gen kissed me her lips were warm. I returned her kiss. Gen felt good. I knew I like her, even love her. There's something for both of us here.

Gen nestled in my arms her head on my chest. Moments.

We soon felt we had to go Gen and I went back to the group, bade goodbye and left.

We arrived at my place. I brought Gen upstairs everything was quiet, dark. I held Gen close to me. We kissed. Long. I asked her to stay but she said she had to see Taxman for their meeting tomorrow morning.

"While he’s still sober." Gen said.

We kissed one more time then said goodbye.

"I saw Gen early today and told me about you in so many words. I’m happy you met someone, now dress up!. We’re going to a carnival!" Taxman said, helping me out of tub.

We went to the old city. The carnival was at the plaza. There was a huge crowd and milling around the rides. There was a parade approaching, moving towards the plaza to a big carnival tent.

Taxman and I moved closer. The carnival spirit was everywhere. We stood by the road where the parade will pass. I started to think about Gen. Where was she?

Soon the parade arrived. Circus animals in their decorated cages . Jugglers, acrobats and various performers mesmerized the crowd. The people cheered them.

Then music began mixing with the noise, it was coming from a group of clowns. Trailing behind the clowns was a small float with musician clowns. The float was being pulled by horses. Some clowns sitting on the sides of the float were singing. Then were other clowns moving around the people throwing confetti ,candy and giving away balloons.
