Creature Of The Night (10 ratings) by David Newberry
Oh to be...
A creature of the night.
To stalk the streets,
Forever laughing in delight.
A flash, a glint,
But nothing's there.
A kiss, a bite,
But gone into air.
Or to dance, to love --
Seduce with wine --
A woman, a beauty,
To be forever mine.
The sight of blood,
Its taste, its scent,
Possesses my thought
And my lust contents.
To prowl the streets,
Subdue my appetite,
To love once more...
And vanish to the night.
