Page 4 of 4 "Sure." I replied.
"How did James Riley die?" The officer asked.
I told the officer, "I saw him going to the kitchen, grabbing a knife, and
then he slit his throat."
"But don't you think that's a bit bazaar", the officer said.
"Yeah... But that's what he did. Maybe he wanted to commit suicide instead
of staying in jail for the rest of his life with Jackson." I replied. The
officer nodded.
"Okay. Thanks for your time."
"Hey, officer. James took my dog. And my dog is still there at his house." I
told the officer.
"Don't worry, your dog will come home either today or tomorrow morning." The
officer said.
"Thanks."
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of the doorbell. When I opened the
door, two police officers were standing with my dog Shooshoo.
I was so happy that Shooshoo was all right.
"Thank you very much. I said.
"You're welcome. We are glad your dog is all right." One of the officers
said. "Goodbye, ma'am." Before the officers were about to leave, I said,
"Was Jackson arrested?"
"Yes, he was. After we arrested him, we found your dog, and we brough him to
you." One of the officers replied.
I smiled. "Okay. Thank you."
I closed the door of the house after the officers left.
