Dominat’s phe creator, Nutsilla had developed the army, while Dominat was still young and learning how to be a Royal mhe. It had taken many years for her development into the Crown to be total. Once it had, Nutsilla trusted her judgment and ruling as phe would her own.

Dominat entered the laboratory drew mher nails in. The lab was conditioned, allowing mher to obtain all the energy mhe needed just from mher epidermis. Nitrous compounds entered and were led right to the heart of mher body reacting strongly to become aluminum nitrate. Simple reaction with water now evolved energy to be harnessed.

While outside she had to absorb energy through mher nails, to allow for filtering of impurities that would otherwise cause harm.

The lab technicians were working at the simulation of the core, experimenting on it, developing it, making it as potent as they possibly could. This was the only way. Fingering with the core would only cause trouble. There had been accidents before that had cost lives of many million pilos. Dominat believed that their salvation lied in this weapon. It would make them secure against attack. If they had any chance in hell, to win the battle that was coming up, it was the core.

"Lagur!", she called.

"Laaaguur".

She could barely hear his response, but shouted at him to come down anyway. She was making their meal, and he was late. She hated when he had to be called for the meal.

"Yes, woman", he growled coming down the chute at a reckless speed. "Why do you always disturb me when I’m experimenting? One of these days you’ll disturb something so bad, your shrill voice will be heard no more".

It was not unknown to Shreela that some of the experimenting Lagur did at home was dangerous. Most of it had to do with the upcoming war. The pilos, those tiny creatures. They looked so harmless, but everyone knew what they were up to. Building weapons like that thing they called "the core".

It had all started when the pilos had started occupying territory between their environments. Investigations had led to the discovery of the core.

"You will miss your meal, asshole."

"What do you care woman. There are many important things on hand. Like saving our Hood race for instance."

"Though right now I wouldn’t mind the destruction of WomanHood", he smirked.

"Shut up and eat."

"Anything to keep you quiet woman", he said with an air of resignation and rested his head on the bowl she had kept in front of him. At least the woman could cook well. The Hoods were not really known for great table manners. Whatever manners they did usually display were completely destroyed at this meal by Lagur’s enthusiasm.

As he finished he became much calmer. Hunger put him in a bad mood.

He leaned over and in a romantic gesture that would have surprised anyone that had witnessed any earlier exchanges between the two of them. He nuzzled against her, allowing the white lining on his face to rub against hers.

Kissing him back Shreela moved towards him and asked, "What will happen to us my love? Are we all going to be destroyed?"

"We have to wait and see Shreela, patience is a virtue", he said smiling. It would help Lagur a lot if he knew what sort of attack they would encounter.

It was time he got back to work. The Hoods were out to prove that they were capable of defending themselves. They knew that weapons capable of destruction such as the core could help no one, but they also realized that if they possessed such a weapon it would help at least in negotiation. It could help prevent the destruction of their race.
