Mana Shia (5 ratings)
         by Ledro Norssad

In a tower's secure embracing walls
Where nature heeded sorcerer's calls
A girl was raised, fair and kind
Kept from harm with a gentle mind
And as the years went into the land
She never knew cruelty by any hand

Forteen of age was the girl on the day
That her powerful father passed away
Had prepared a ritual dangerous and long
sadly something went amiss, something went wrong
A sorrowful time filled with despair
As the daughter burned down her father's lair

She went away for great was her grief
Was blown through the empire like a leaf
Then took up arms with a mercenary band
And traveled with them across the land
Learned the craft of war and how to kill
Yet the loss of her father pained her still

One day, three years she was now on her own
She met three strangers in a desert town
Faintly destiny seemed to call her forth
As she went with them, far into the north
To seek out adventure the desert she crossed
In a few fights almost her life she lost

Fearless battled storms and raging beasts
Was involved in intrigues and invited to feasts
Made powerful enemies and powerful allies
Lost a companion and won a great prize
All that she surmounted, all that she survived
But was of her gentle heart never deprived

Great destiny calls for her, leads her away
Has yet to find her own place to stay
What future holds in store for her no one can tell
High misty mountains or straight down to hell
I shall follow her, of her deeds I shall sing
D'Chan humble bard, of all fools the king
