Deceived by Kari Patterson
Your mouth keeps moving, but I hear nothing.
Focused on your blue eyes, I hear all I need;
You are happy, excited, and joyful.
Your mouth speaks on emotions your eyes never told me;
You are upset, disarrayed, and vicious.
A bond is broken within minutes, and I have yet to fully comprehend;
Your eyes are liars and it is your mouth who speaks the truth.
However, the blame is not all on you, I should have looked more carefully when you blinked.
