Xavon tried to move towards it but he couldn't move. The light came closer. And as it did it became brighter.

Then a dark cloud appeared in front of the light. They slowly moved toward each other. Then the black cloud engulfed the light. As it took the light away, the cloud became bigger. Then it began to take shape. It seemed to take the shape of a man. When it finished its forming, it moved toward Xavon. When it got to him it bent down to him and said, "It begins now..."

Xavon woke up. "Are you okay?" asked Lock. Xavon looked around. He was no longer in a dungeon, but back in the Serta Forest. "Hello? Are you there Xavon?" Xavon looked up. Lock stood above him. "Yes. I think I am. Where have I been?" Lock looked at him impatiently. "What--- are you talking about Xavon? You have been here sleeping this whole time. I never knew how lazy you really where." Xavon got to his feet. "Well let's get going." said Lock. Xavon turned toward camp. "No Lock. We have traveled this way without seeing any sign of a dragon. There is no way there is a dragon this way. And as we travel I sense an evil presence growing stronger. I think that Verd may have somehow come back to life." Lock screeched. "No way! He can't be back! he's gone forever. Right?" Xavon shook his head. "Somehow I know he is back. I had a dream... I saw him." "We must notify the Militan! Come on Xavon let's hurry!" said Lock. Lock scurried off toward camp. Xavon stood in his place. "Wait!" shouted Xavon.

Lock stopped. "We can't go back. I have a theory. You might have noticed my fight with the griffin." Lock ran back to Xavon. "yes. You fought--- well." "Well yes. but my sword was useless against it. Any normal griffin would've been easy to kill. But this one was different. But when you used your magic it died instantly." "What does it all mean Xavon?" "I think Verd had a plan way before he destroyed magic. That was just part one. Now he has come back for part two.

All he would have to do is rid the world of magic, then when swordsman’s and weapons took over he would return and curse all beasts to die only from magic. That is what I think."

Lock screeched again. "Well if that's true we have to leave to safety now!" Lock ran to camp.

This time, Xavon followed.

The dragon screeched in pain as the arrow hit him. He rolled around until the arrow was released from his hide. "Derek!" I screamed. "We have to leave now!" Derek turned and ran.---

behind him the dragon followed. Derek ran as fast as he could. He could feel the dragon's hot breath on his neck. Derek turned his head over his shoulder. he was flabbergasted. The dragon was on the ground. It had tripped over a wire set up by some troops. "Run!" screamed the troops. Derek ran and caught up with the others. They all watched din terror as the dragon devoured the troops that had saved their lives. The troop continued to run back to the tent's.

When they got there they all went into the battle strategy tent. I stood at the high chair, and the others took their place along side the table. "We have to leave this place I know." I insisted. "If we stay we will surely perish." Fradox stood up. "Tan is right. We should leave as soon as soon possible." It was decided.
