Introduction

The overseer of the Earth gazed down upon the world from his small floating island that existed only to those who know its name. As he gazed, he took in all of the strange events that had been happening as of late. The Angeled appearing, a breed of humans capable of magic that called upon the very possibilities of every situation in the form of strange blue symbols. Although there are so few of these humans, they were strong and amazed even the Kai powerful overseer. The overseer turned to his side as he rubbed his arm thoughtfully.

"Those Angeled might just be the answer… I have long since been friends with them, was this my doing? My influence maybe? I only hope that they don’t find out what I am… They need not concern themselves with those matters. Ahhhh, only if the Demoned did not exist, then I would not need to engage myself in the upcoming Wars sure to transpire. Life is funny; I’ve been here for four hundred years now. Training and learning, all that time, and now I have to disguise my self as a mere boy no more than sixteen? And human none the less!"

The overseer shook his head as he wandered towards a small gray hut on the island, the second of two. He strolled through the entrance of the hut and moved to a small green portal object in the wall, the rooms only decoration it would seem. The portal bubbled and swirled like a draining whirlpool. He then entered it mindlessly, his body began to twist and fade to become one with the twirling. A great suction ripped his body from the island paradise, his back arching through the force as he vanished into the gateway, back to work. Surely enough as he was there, he was now gone.

The day was well, a breezy air flowing about the two young boys as they strode in the direction of there’s friend’s abode. One boy, David, of scrawny build, standing five foot seven inches with green eyes and brown hair, remarkably unkept. The other boy, Will, stood about six feet even with brown eyes and dirty blonde hair kept well trimmed, he had an average build, not to big but definitely not small. Both kept to small clothing with the nice autumn weather, Will in knee length shorts and a comfortable t-shirt, David garbed in a nice dark blue vest and loose fitting pants. Neither was particularly fond of the other, but they continued in tolerated conversation as they went about their intended business.

"Will… you wouldn’t have happened to notice anything strange or… different about Stewart lately would you?" David turned to Will as he spoke.

"What do you mean by… different?"
