David stood quietly in thought. Without warning, his senses detected raging energy nearby, he swung with force in exasperation. A pair of crimson burning eyes fell from the darkness.

"So those are them… and you are he… and you are apparently a coward, the way you handled that." Strange voices echoed the thoughts across the island, deep in the distance it called back upon him.

"How did you get here evil one? How do you know of this place?" Dammit, why can’t I sense them? David yelled into the shadows.

"Ah yes, I see your thoughts now, Kai, we are of the Demoned, you cannot sense our darkness, our power." Wearily, the stranger stepped from deep within the shadows. Dressed in a long torn cape of blood red fashion, he stood with stocky build at a six-foot height, glaring down upon the gangly David with those fiery eyes. The creature stepped farther from the shadows with obvious regret apparent on his face.

"Demoned…be gone, you spawn of evil, spawn of the shadows, be gone from this holy ground! You know I have the power to dispatch a hundred of your infectious numbers!" David instinctively took up his battle stance, curling his fingers and pulling them up over his wrist. The Demoned sounded a chilling chuckle, rasping cold waves flung through the air… bad breath.

"You cannot win your battle, away with you, or I will be forced to kill you." With another chilling shockwave upon the airwaves, the Demoned chuckled. Taking up his own fighting stance, dozens of shadows came from the dark patches upon the pillars to surround David, all taking up equally lethal positions.

"Damn you all, may you burn in your precious hell, and may your soul stealers burn with you. "David screamed at them while curling his arm.

Wrist up, Kai energy coursed through his veins, spewing fourth to form a small blue ball of pure Kai energy. With practiced ease, he flung his wrist forward in swift curling motion, the brightly lit ball flung from his wrist. The ball flew straight passed the lead Demoned, with mocking laughter, the Demoned fell as the ball came speeding back through his spine, penetrating straight through to his brain in exploding bursts. With an agonizing shriek, the bal crushed his skull, exploding into shattering needle shards all throughout his body and to others near him. His body became surrounded in bright yellow lights, sparkling with beauty, as he was thrown into nothingness. The other Demoned stared, wide eyed, at their defeated leader. As if on cue, they all ran, jumping to the sides of the isle, only to disappear in mid-air.

"Shit, how do they know who I am? How do they know anything at all? This makes everything all the more complicated, I must last the day until I can contact the eternals again." David muttered angrily as he spun on his heel, charging off towards the furthest hut.

"David!" Screamed Will painfully, his throat cracking between yells now. "Where are you dammit!"

"Will… What happened? What’s wrong?" Questioned David, running from a hut.

"It’s Stew, the Demoned… they came for us. We were practically defenseless, he gave himself, for me… they hit him… with lightning." Will tapered off in heartfelt sobs.

"Stay here, rest… He must be at the Hospital, I’ll go, be at rest."

David ran back through the same hut, green lights came faintly through the doorway, and were gone. He was gone. Will was alone, again.
