Angeled Rising (Part 1) (3 ratings) by Donald Petrovski
Page 9 of 13 David gave a tired sigh. "I’m sorry Will, it was necessary. The last I had
used it was when I simply wanted to see where Stewart was. That’s when I picked
up your extremely high energy concentration that I had never seen on you
before, and I went down to investigate in too much a hurry to turn it off."
Will looked at him suspiciously, then waving it off as if he had not just
had a near death experience, walking off the odd feeling he had in the back of
his head. After all, he had known this boy all his life, might as well trust
him the least bit, even if he is some weird alien overseer that’s been around a
few hundred years. He just wanted to get off the isle.
"I think it would be best if you left now… you both look tired."
David led them to the back hut with no resistance from the pair of Angeled
Ones. He started up the portal on the far wall; the swirling mist got a curious
experience from the boys as they were all but shoved right through it. Within
the blink of an eye, they were standing in the middle of Stewart’s living room
as if nothing had happened, with no evidence that it hadn’t been anything but a
dream, except of course a headache on Will’s part.
Will and Stewart had been training for hours, or seconds in the physical
realm, but they were dead tired. They kept to practicing what they already
knew, focusing their strength and energy in to forming the different weapons in
to different forms and at quicker paces. The faster they could form a weapon,
the faster whatever they are fighting would be dead. Although they had no
practical use of these weapons as of yet, they had decided between them that it
was likely they were not the only ones with this kind of power, best to be
prepared for whatever might come along.
It had taken them months already to reach their current state of knowledge,
starting when Will and Stewart had gotten into a fight over a game. The fight
had brought to the surface enough emotion, and energy with it, to unknowingly
throw them into the dark realm. They spent what felt like days walking around
and exploring the deserted place. Stewart finally managed to pull himself out
by focusing what he thought he had felt on the way in, he wanted to fight on
the way in, so maybe he should do the exact opposite to get out. He
concentrated for over half an hour before the light had enveloped him, it was a
full day before he came back in for will, he was infuriated, but Stewart
claimed it had only been a minute. Either way, he pulled him back out, only to
find that almost no time had passed at all and that no one had missed them.
Ever since then they had returned for days upon days, finding that their age
was not affected in this place, they could live virtually forever, but it would
have to be in the dark realm. The first few days of going into the dark realm
was mostly just for private discussion, they started doing it more and more
gradually, finding it easier and easier to come back. Eventually they decided
to try bringing someone else into the dark realm; the chosen person was
Stewart’s sister, Leigh. Thy struggles hour upon hour and day upon day trying
to get Leigh in, he thought they had gone nuts, not once did it ever work. Next Page Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2001 Donald Petrovski, sffworld.com. All rights reserved.
