"Now, this is nice" he said to himself as he looked around the
room, he turned his head and noticed his wife in the other room. She looked
great, perfect voluptuous body, about average height, great skin, blonde
flowing hair and deep brown eye’s. He was the perfect antithesis to his wife
with his washed out green eyes and very short brown ragged hair, he was however
a testament to the fact that you could still look good without blue eyes,
blonde hair and bronzed skin. Even though his skin was pale and unshaven he had
a rugged handsomeness about him that women loved. He definitely was a stud in
this game, he concluded as he looked away from the mirror. He continued looking
about the room, he was obviously in an expensive house, the lighting and
furniture was all the latest stuff in vogue and the room didn’t really seem to
serve any purpose, it was just there because it could be. He looked out the
windows that took up the whole left wall, it was black outside, pitch black, he
couldn’t see a thing. He looked over at his wife again; the room she was in was
empty, just four walls and a door into this room. She hadn’t moved an inch
while he was looking around, hadn’t even blinked.
"Where’s Susan?" He thought out loud. She should have arrived by now;
obviously something had gone wrong, he took another quick look around the room
and said to no one in particular "Exit Program…Shutdown".

"Dammit, How many times has that happened in the last week?" the man said
from the bench he was now lying on. He ripped out the tentacles that were
attached to his head and jerked himself up, a bit too fast, and collapsed back
down on the bench.
‘Andy, you know it takes at least ten minutes before your body is back under
full control. Your always in such a bloody hurry whenever anything goes wrong"
Jackson was obviously pissed off, he knew Andy would find a way to blame him
for the error in load up. Jackson was now looking at about ten screens
encircling him as a turtle would be by a half shell, it was hard to tell where
one screen ended and the next one began until you turned them all on. The
screens where covered in writing, blue florescent writing with bits and pieces
being red or green. He looked hard at these screens, if he found the error
before Andy got up he might not get such a talking. Andy stirred slightly then
continued his slow breathing while he lay on the bright white bench in the
centre of the room, his belly heaved up and down with each struggled sounding
breath.
It had already been about five minutes and he couldn’t find a thing, there
was only one error and it referred to a line of code that didn’t even exist in
any of the tablets, Andy was rousing now. Jackson got ready for the assault.
"Hmmm, that is strange. I still can’t understand how come we started getting
so many errors as soon as you were drafted to our site" Andy glared at Jackson
as he said this, Jackson was the new kid and Andy didn’t want to let him forget
it.
"The only places we are getting any errors on are with these new hybrids
that you’ve got me programming. Next Page Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2001 L.R. Pettigrew, sffworld.com. All rights reserved.
