Chapter 1

The Journey Begins

He looked suspiciously at the door that lay ahead. It looked very normal, but in the same way, very dangerous also. He had journeyed far and wide just to encounter the demon lord, Elad.

He was of average build, and wielded a large broadsword. He had long blonde hair, and he had broad shoulders. He looked fearless, but deep down inside, he wasn’t.

It was a large castle, made out of fine stone. The stones were made from the great land of Norik, as he could see from the markings. He looked at it for a moment, then drew his sword and closed in.

There was a very large doorknob at the door, but he did not think that he should be proper in letting them know he has arrived. He drew a large dagger, and attempted to pry the door open. It would not budge. He got his sword and once again tried to pry it open, and once again, it would not budge. He sat down and thought for a few minutes, then searched around for a large branch. He looked for a few minutes, then found a great log alongside the bank of the Matarael River. He called the bowman, watching idle, over to help.

"What do you need, Jheed?" The man asked, bow in hand.

"Help me pick this up Ziggin." Jheed replied.

With that, Ziggin helped pick up the large log, and they both walked for about a quarter of a mile until they were again at the front of the door.

"We’re going to knock it down," Jheed instructed.

Ziggin nodded, and clutched the log, ready.

"On my count, one,,,two,,,,,three!"

Jheed yelled and ran as fast as he could at the door, Ziggin leading up the rear.

When they met the door, it was not pleasant. The log hit the door, and the door resisted, causing the log to shoot back, right as when Ziggin was going to the other side right before they hit it, but he was late. It hit Ziggin in the stomach. He fell on the ground, squirming in pain.

"So much for my quiet entrance," Jheed said, helping Ziggin up.

After a awkward pause, Jheed said. "There has to be another way in."

"No, there is not. I have been in this area many times over, and I know for a fact that this is the only way in, and probably the only way out." He paused. "Unless you have any good ideas, I don’t think we can get in there."

"Maybe, just maybe." Jheed said.

"What are u thinking sir?" Ziggin said with a confused look.

"Not straight forward, but around the entrance. You see that window up there? We’ll break in there." Jheed and Ziggin looked up at the window, mere feet above the entrance. "I guess they aren’t as smart as I thought."

Jheed got on Ziggin’s hands, and he stood up as high as he could, but Jheed was just a few inches away. He drew his sword and struck the glass, shattering it, and jumping up grasping the opening. After a little bit of a struggle he jumped up and was getting ready to go.

"That settles that, thank you for your help." Jheed said.

"Good luck Jheed. May the light be with you."

Jheed nodded, and jumped in.

The first thing he noticed was how large it was. There was a vast array of knights with weapons, and he was amazed of some of the unusual beauty of such a hellish place.

He walked forward a bit, going towards the next door. It slowly creaked open. Suddenly he heard a noise from behind.
