My Father by Nicole Rader
As I lay here in my room looking up
I watch my past flash before me
and remember the days when you screwed up
you promised so many things
but u never came through.
As I lay here in the hospital bed looking up
I remember people telling me how much you love and care for me
I look to my right to see that my mom is sitting there
I look to my left no one is there
If you luv me or even cared then why arent you there holding my hand and telling me everything will be ok?
As I lay here in my boyfriends arms looking up
I see a man that truly loves and cares for me
and I tell myself I've got here without you so far
I can make it without you for now on
