Sea Goddess (1 rating) by Alicia Raine
The beast's tail pulled itself free of the sand which held it, and throwing
itself into the air in a triumphant freedom, I was knocked into the foamy
waters, where I struggled against the roaring waves. At last the creature was
free! Free to carry out the commands of the sea goddess. Free to take vengeance
upon us all - whether that vengeance begins with you or I, and without regard
for time and how long it may take.
And I... a broken god, wept for the world - and for myself. For as my
goddess
rode away upon the back of a rocky beast, I knew, I knew that it was not me
whom she had come for to make a god, but rather to wake a dormant monster to
destroy me!
