Poems
- Unfaithful?

Unfaithful? (5 ratings)
         by David Ray

An aching heart
A sickness in my gut
The doors to my future
Just might have shut

Could she do it?
Would she be so cruel?
Or am I just freaking
Like a jealous fool?

My mind was at ease
Knowing that someday
We would share the same keys

I thought things were perfect
So damn great
But are they?
Together forever, Is that our fate?

At one time I knew
With out a doubt
Now I'm so confused
I want to shout!

Will this go away?
Will it continue to last?
Did I jump the gun
Did I move to fast?

Were miles apart
And oceans away
Not much I can do
Not much I can say

Time will be my killer
What eats at my soul
If I picked up the dice
Snake eyes I'd roll

It's time to sleep
And drift off to dreams
I prey to our God
That it's not what it seems

I tell her I love you
And thats what I mean
Together forever
Thats my dream
